Orthopaedic Surgery

Dr. Dan Steinitz began his journey in musculoskeletal health with an Honours Bachelor of Science in Human Kinetics from the University of Guelph. He went on to complete his Medical Degree at Dalhousie University, followed by a residency in Orthopaedic Surgery at McGill University. During his time in Montreal, Dr. Steinitz further specialized with a combined fellowship in trauma and wrist surgery.

An accomplished academic, Dr. Steinitz has authored multiple scientific publications and presented his research at international medical conferences. He has served as an active staff orthopaedic surgeon at Quinte Health Corporation for over 11 years. His current practice includes specialty care in trauma, post-traumatic reconstruction, and wrist surgery, as well as general orthopaedics such as knee and hip arthroplasty, and foot and ankle procedures.

Outside of his surgical practice, Dr. Steinitz is an avid water sports enthusiast. He enjoys spending his time on the local waters sailing one-design boats, windsurfing, and kite surfing.
